Forever Bouquets

Forever Bouquet

The creation of a Forever Bouquet is VERY time-sensitive and has many steps so only one reservation can be taken per week.  The first and most important step is receipt of your flowers in the freshest condition possible.  Pre-planning around the date of your special occasion is a must.  Please review all of the information provided below before starting your order.

To start your order, please complete a calendar booking form at right.  Step-by-step instructions are provided below.  Following submission of the form, you will need to authorize a deposit of $100 that, upon acceptance of your order, will be applied to the final cost of your Forever Bouquet.

You will receive one or more Emails with additional questions about your bouquet (colors, flower types, etc.).  If the order is workable, your booking will be confirmed and the deposit will be processed.  At this point, the deposit becomes non-refundable.  If the order is unworkable and we cannot come to an agreement, the deposit will not be processed.  See the FAQs section below for information on what makes an order “unworkable”.

We will remain in regular contact with you while creating your Forever Bouquet.  You’ll receive photos during the process, and each set of photos must be approved before the next step occurs. Prompt reply to these Emails is required – failure to reply may result in order cancelation with no return of the deposit.

Upon completion of your order, final payment, including shipping costs, should be made and then your Forever Bouquet will be shipped!

The entire process takes approximately 60-90 days post receipt of your bouquet.  For most orders, a flat fee of $30 will be added for shipping.  Shipping for larger orders (table tops, etc.) will be calculated.

1.  Select the date of your special occasion.  That date, plus the next 3 days, will be booked to make clear when we expect to have your bouquet in hand.  For best results we recommend you use overnight shipping.  If that is not possible you should make every effort to ensure the flowers are delivered by the last day of your booking.

Example:  You select June 1.  The dates of June 1 through June 4 will be booked.  Your flowers should be received as soon as possible after your event, but by June 4 at the latest.  Bouquets arriving later than July 4 may result in order cancellation.

Please work with your shipping expert to determine the best way to ship your flowers while maintaining the freshest condition possible.

2. Input your First Name, Last Name and Email Address.  It is also a good idea to input your Phone number so the crafter can call you with any questions.  If your phone number is not provided, PROMPT response to Emails is required.  Failure to reply promptly may result in cancelation of your order with no refund of your deposit.

3. Review the Shape/Size options in the gallery at the top of the page and select the option you wish to order in the Shape/Size option field.  (Additional options not pictured are also available – if interested in one of the other options, or a custom option, please Email info@resinblume.com.)

4.  Most shapes/sizes can including fairy/faerie lighting.  If you wish to add lighting indicate this in the Fairy/Faerie Lighting checkbox.  You will be contacted to discuss any concerns over adding faerie lighting.  Note that lighting requires batteries and there will be a cord and battery pack extending from the piece.  See the 10in x 3.5in Rectangle Display photo for an example.

5.  If you wish to include other items in addition to flowers in your piece, list those items in the Add-Ons field.  See the Tips, Ideas and Recommendations section below for example Add-Ons.  Inclusion of these items cannot be guaranteed, but we will attempt to accommodate your request as much as possible.  Some Add-Ons may increase the price of your Forever Bouquet. You will be contacted to discuss any concerns over Add-Ons or changes in price.

6.  Add any additional information and/or requests in the Additional Notes field.  You will be contacted with any questions on the additional notes you provide.

7.  On clicking Send, you will be presented with a button to pay the deposit for your order via PayPal.  If you need to use an alternative payment method, please note this in the Additional Notes field.  We will contact you with additional payment options.

  • Many florists will provide a “mini” version of your bouquet for a reasonable price.  Send this for preservation if you have other plans for your main bouquet.
  • Florists are experts at shipping flowers.  Ask your florist to ship your bouquet for preservation.
  • If you are traveling (like for a honeymoon) immediately after your special occasion, have a trusted friend or family member ship your bouquet.
  • If you can’t ship your bouquet next day, keep it in good condition by putting it in cool water and in a refrigerator.  Try to mist the blooms every few hours.
  • Collect other small items from your occasion/event to include in your piece.  Ideas:
    • Floral box pearl pins or wedding dress pearls
    • Small items from table decorations like petals, confetti/glitter, vase filler, crystals, etc.
    • Other flowers used for decoration
    • Invitation or remembrance
    • Ribbons/Streamers
  • If your item is for a wedding, ship mementos from your honeymoon within 10 days of shipping your flowers.  Your flowers will still be drying so it’s not too late! (Crafter must be advised in advance!  Add-Ons may increase the price of your project.)
  • If your flowers are from a funeral, collect flowers from each spray to get a variety of flower types and colors to reflect all the sentiments from family and friends.
  • Will all of the flowers in my bouquet be used?
Not necessarily.  We will do our best to represent the general look of your bouquet given the size of the flowers and the size of the shape you choose.  If your selection is small compared to the size of your bouquet, reduce the amount of flowers you send.  Extra flowers will not be returned!  If you have selected a shape that just doesn’t suit your flowers, we will let you know and discuss options.
  • Can any flower type be included in a Forever Bouquet?
No.  Some flowers are simply too dense/fleshy/milky to preserve.  Examples include lilies, tulips and any kind of succulent.  Other flowers that are tissue-thin are also difficult to dry, as they become too brittle.  On submitting an order, you will be asked to provide information on the kinds of flowers that will be in your bouquet.  Any concerns will be discussed before you send your flowers.
  • What might make my order “unworkable”?
There are limitations related to selected shape size, bouquet size, flower type, add-ons wanted, etc. that may make your order “unworkable”.  If you want to force a huge bouquet into a small shape, that will be unworkable.  If you want to do a Forever Bouquet that is primarily succulent flowers, that will be unworkable.  If you want to add a flat invitation to a round shape, your order will be unworkable.  Essentially, if your request would not result in a beautiful, high-quality, Forever Bouquet that you will cherish forever, we’d rather cancel the order and return your deposit.  However, we will make every effort to come to an agreement with you to make your order workable.
  • Will the colors of my flowers be the same after drying?
Even though we use methods designed to retain original color and shape as much as possible, almost all flowers have a bit of a color change when dried.  Reds and purples tend to get darker, sometimes close to black!  Darker pinks often change to purple.  White flowers may become more translucent and change to a cream color. Light pinks, yellows and blues seem to keep their color best.
  • What if my special occasion happened in the past and my flowers have already dried? Can I still have them put in a Forever Bouquet?
Yes!  And you’ll get your order back much more quickly, as the drying of flowers is the longest part of the process.
  • What happens if ResinBlume does not receive my flowers by the last day of my booking?
We will take photos of the flowers in the condition in which they arrived and get confirmation from you that you still want your Forever Bouquet created.  If you do not want to move forward with your order, your deposit and flowers are lost, but you are not responsible for the remaining balance of the order.
  • Can silk flowers be used in my Forever Bouquet?
    Yes!
  • When will I receive my order?
You should expect to receive your order within 60 to 90 days after we receive your bouquet.  We will keep in touch with you to advise you of progress and will let you know if the order will ship later than expected.
  • Why does it take so long to receive my order?
Proper drying of flowers is an extended process. If improperly dried flowers are put in resin, they may decay.  Because of this, we dry flowers longer than most would consider necessary.  Also, for best results, resin must be poured in layers, with each layer taking 24 hours to cure.  More layers results in less flaws like bubbles, warps, etc. and also lends a better 3D effect to the finished product. We want to reduce any risk of your flowers being damaged or of your Forever Bouquet failing to meet your expectations.
  • Why are deposits non-refundable?
Your deposit becomes non-refundable the moment your booking is confirmed.  Reservation of those days prevents other potential customers – whose special-occasion dates are the same or close to yours – from booking.
  • How does shipping work?
In most cases, your Forever Bouquet will be shipped first class, with insurance, for a flat fee of $30.  For larger items, shipping will be calculated and you will be notified of cost before your final payment is requested.
  • Photos are examples only and not necessarily pieces created by ResinBlume.
